Finalizado el curso de formación inicial y obtenida la licencia de alumno controlador aéreo, ¿cómo me incorporo a una dependencia de air traffic control.
There are currently two ways of accessing the air traffic control profession in Spain.
- Through the private sector, which manages air traffic control units for the provision of aerodrome control services, as is the case of Skyway.
- By passing a selective process of the public provider Enaire.
If you are interested in working in a control unit managed by Skyway, you will first have to pass the initial aerodrome controller training course. At the end of the course you will obtain the European student controller licence and you will be included in Skyway's employment exchange. Depending on vacancies and available destinations, candidates are selected to apply for air traffic control units.
If you have passed the Enaire selection process, you must first take the initial training course to obtain the European student controller licence with the aerodrome, approach and en-route ratings, and then join the air traffic control unit to which you have been appointed by Enaire.
